The Challenge

Liverpool FC teamed up with London School of Business & Finance to form LFC E.L.I.T.E.S. GSD® were asked to create a ‘Want to Share Your Leadership Knowledge’ campaign, website and visual communication to attract aspiring business leaders and football fans alike to attend this unique course.

LFC Academy Coach Mike Yates also came to us for help to design and promote his unique football autobiography, Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen and …Me.

The Solution

The branding and identity for LFC Elites was applied cross media, including printed literature, advertising materials and website.

The plan was to create a brand, advertising website and social media showcasing not only the promotion of the book but an insight into the man behind the story!

The Result

Positive reaction to the whole programme. It’s now being used to attract business leaders the world over to take part in the course and improve their business leadership skills to a world class level.

A successful book launch in the LFC Club Shop, lots of online sales through Amazon and Waterstones. Key endorsements from ex players including: Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher. The book got shortlisted for The British Sports Book Awards.

From a mental health and well being point of view Mike received 1,000’s of positive comments from the football world to say how it has helped players prepare themselves mentally for both success and failure. How a devastating setback can be turned into a successful future and now how can the game is improving the development of young players as people to prepare them for the ‘real world’ outside football.
